The Pit of Despair

Famous ‘pits’ include:‘The Pit’ from Parks & Rec where Andy Dwyer fell or the infamous “pit of despair” from Princess Bride. But in Psalm 40 we learn about the true pit of despair, a life knocked down and far from God. Thankfully, because of God’s great love He promises to rescue us from this pit of despair and consequently, one of our most natural responses is to Praise Him and Tell Others. If you’ve ever been afraid to speak up for your faith, if you’ve ever been timid about potential consequences, or if you’ve ever doubted God’s power, presence, or existence — this is the message for you.

Go and Tell

After Jesus rose from the dead, the scriptures teach us that for 40 days He met with His disciples, taught them about the Kingdom of God, and proved that He was alive (Acts 1). Listen in as Jeff starts our series with the first ‘post-resurrection’ visitation. What can we learn from Jesus’ interaction with Mary and how does it impact our lives today?
