Jeff continues our series on ‘Storms’ by looking at one of the most famous Christian holidays: Pentecost. Imagine what it was like when a heavenly windstorm surrounded by flames of fire descended upon the disciples. It created such a commotion that people were gathering from all over the city and the result? A Spirit-empowered and Spirt-emboldened witness to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because of Pentecost, we are promised to be filled with God’s presence & power, and this compels us to be ‘Joining God’s Mission Transforming All Things.’

We close our series on “Kingdom Expectations” by remembering and celebrating Pentecost. When God poured out His Holy Spirit, He was fulfilling a promise given years before: that ‘you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you…’.
