Prayer can be hard for believers which can sound like an oxymoron but most of us have felt the intimidation of having to pray out loud, pray for a stranger, or even praying for a family dinner! But as we embrace our calling to ‘pray,’ God’s Spirit will move in and through us to transform all things. In this opening message, Jeff reads from the New Testament on prayer and introduces us to ‘17 words that will change your life.’

Our new series starts off with the topic of intercession. Jeff Faust defines intercession as "praying on behalf of another." There are many questions about prayer, why and how it works. It is not so much how prayer works, but that it works at all. God listens to us so he can change our circumstances based on our requests. We can pray for ourselves, our neighbors, specific groups of people, our city, our world. Though our prayers are not always answered the way we want, the more we keep praying, the more breakthroughs we will see.
