JOHN 14:23-27 (NLT)
(23) Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them. (24) Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey me. And remember, my words are not my own. What I am telling you is from the Father who sent me. (25) I am telling you these things now while I am still with you. (26) But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. (27)  “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. 

THE HOLY SPIRIT PROMISES YOU PEACE

• JOHN 14:27 (NLT)
  “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
• As Christians, it’s common to think about miracles and the power of God when we’re talking about the Holy Spirit…but perhaps more than anything right now, the world needs the peace of Christ.
• This idea of peace really draws on all the created order — a real sense of Shalom, or the idea that everything is functioning and working the way it was always intended to be.
• The Holy Spirit gives a peace that can rest on you and be felt.

YOU CAN HAVE PEACE WITH GOD

• Peace with God is a gift given to us. 
• Nothing brings peace like the Holy Spirit.
• This kind of peace between you and God starts the moment you surrender your life to Jesus.

YOU CAN HAVE PEACE WITH YOURSELF

• You don’t have to be bound by endless anxiety, stress, sleepless nights, or worrisome thoughts about the future.
• You aren’t being removed from spiritual hardships; you are given peace in the midst of it all.
• Biblical Meditation is where the goal is to be filled with God’s Spirit, His presence, and His eternal word.
• Psalm 63:3 & 6 (NLT)

• Psalm 46 (NLT)
• God has promised to give you the gift of peace through the Holy Spirit, but many of us stop before the gift is experienced. 

YOU CAN HAVE PEACE WITH OTHERS

• People can experience the peace of God in and through you, and it’s a wonderful witness to the love and presence of Christ.
• Jesus died so you can experience peace, and of course that means in your relationships.
• When it comes to peace with others, we’ve traded what Christ died for — which is true peace — and we’ve traded it for temporary relief.
• “We are not at peace with others because we are not at peace with ourselves, and we are not at peace with ourselves because we are not at peace with God.” - Thomas Merton
