Jeff continues our series on ‘Storms’ by looking at one of the most famous Christian holidays: Pentecost. Imagine what it was like when a heavenly windstorm surrounded by flames of fire descended upon the disciples. It created such a commotion that people were gathering from all over the city and the result? A Spirit-empowered and Spirt-emboldened witness to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because of Pentecost, we are promised to be filled with God’s presence & power, and this compels us to be ‘Joining God’s Mission Transforming All Things.’

Do you have ‘fair-weather faith?’ Jesus taught us that in this life, storms will come. The differentiator isn’t the strength of the storm coming against us or even the frequency — but Jesus said that those who build their life with God by listening & following will experience great wisdom, like someone who has built their home on bedrock.
