As we continue our series, Jeff looks at what happens when a people group (The Ephesians) encounter the living and powerful God. After some ‘unusual miracles’ were experienced in Ephesus, the people’s response included burning anything that kept them from being fully devoted to God. This begs a lot of questions but one stands out: ‘What do you need to burn in the fireplace of devotion?’

Jeff continues our series by gathering us around ‘The Fireplace of Denial.’ Peter’s denial of Christ is one of the more tragic moments in Peter’s life and from this passage we can ask a lot of questions: What lead up to his denial? How can we avoid making these mistakes? And mostly importantly, how does Jesus respond to me when I falter or turn away myself? Like Peter, may we always know that a denial of Christ doesn’t mean we have to be done with God.

Jeff kicks off a new series this week inspired by the fireplaces we read about in scripture and the fireplaces of our own lives. Simply put: life is shared around the fire. In our first message of the series, Jeff teaches from Acts 28, looking at how ‘The Fireplace of Healing’ draws us into God’s presence but is often found in moments of tragedy.

Jeff wraps our “Together, We Are” series by exploring Ephesians 4 and the phrase, ‘The Body of Christ.’ Jesus united Himself to us as, ‘the head of the body, the church.’ How does this impact our time together and how can we learn to love the church like Jesus? Listen in as we explore these questions, celebrate God’s movement, and learn to grow in health and love together.

As we continue ’Together, We Are,’ Jeff looks at the phrase when Paul calls the church: “The Temple of God.” From scripture we learn three things: you are the temple, we are the temple, and we are part of a historic/future temple. Jesus called us to pray for the sick. He encouraged us to expect and experience the Kingdom of God on earth.
