You're Dead to Me

With ‘Cancel Culture’ on the rise, we need to be careful so things like unforgiveness or ‘cut-off’ don’t enter our relationships. The teachings of Jesus lead us to ‘forgive and keep on forgiving,’ even in the face of painful memories. Forgiveness can be challenging, so, we must remind ourselves that both the power and process of forgiving is centered on Christ’s work on the cross. Listen in as we discuss this week’s phrase: “You’re Dead to Me.”

You Do You

Jeff kicks off a new series by playing off Jesus’ words in Matthew 5: “You’ve heard it said… But I say to you…” Jesus was masterful parsing religious and cultural systems while influencing people towards the Kingdom of God. Join us as we look at a modern cultural phrase and ask the question: “How would Jesus respond today?” Our opening phrase: “You Do You.”

The Demands of the Kingdom

In our final sermon from “The Everyday Kingdom,” Jeff explores three passionate teachings tied to the Kingdom of God. What does it mean to turn from our old life towards God, to be resolute, and to be radical for Jesus? Simply put: “If Jesus is King—what does He ask of my life?”

The Timing of the Kingdom

Jeff continues our series on ‘The Everyday Kingdom’ by talking about another tension in the Kingdom: God’s timing. We all love the immediacy of God’s power breaking into our lives and we continue to hope and pray for the miraculous. But God also works in the subtle, slow, and arduous process of transformation. Listen in as we discuss the both/and reality of God’s ‘sudden AND slow’ work of the Kingdom in our lives.

The Secret Life of the Kingdom

We all love the big, dramatic moments of the Kingdom—but what happens the rest of the time? What happens in the 99% of my life that isn’t summarized by words like bigger or better but instead words like quiet, secret, or private? Does God meet me here and what kind of Kingdom impact happens in the hidden places of my life? Listen in as we continue the “Everyday Kingdom" series by exploring the model of Christ for our secret life with God.

What did Jesus say about the Kingdom “Now” vs. the Kingdom “Not Yet,” and how does that impact our daily lives? Listen in as we explore the tension of the Kingdom.

Gospel of the Kingdom

As we kick off a new series, Jeff explains the biblical definition of “The Kingdom of God,” how we see the Kingdom growing today, and how it impacts our everyday life. Get Naked

As we wrap up our “Love FoCo” series, Jeff goes back to where it all began—the garden. In the beginning, Adam & Eve experienced perfection; but that all changed when sin and shame entered the world. Listen in as we explore the effects of shame and how “getting naked” (metaphorically speaking of course) is a necessary path towards loving well.
