The problem is, due to Covid, our fears and insecurities, or maybe our mental health—many of us struggle to keep pursuing others in love. As we continue our series: Love FoCo, Jeff shares about how one of the best ways to love our city is to “always pray” for our city. Simply put: a praying person changes the world. Jeff starts a new series this week pointing to the birth of Jesus. Christ’s birth was foretold centuries before through the voices of the Old Testament but the hope and faith of many had grown dim under the oppression of various rulers and what we now call ‘The Silent Years.’ Let’s explore the unexpected nature of Christ’s birth together and keep looking for God’s unexpected movements in our own lives today.

What makes you whole and complete? How can you grow in spiritual maturity? As we continue our series “Promises,” Jeff dives into another biblical prayer from Ephesians 3 where Paul declares that it’s the personal experience of Christ’s love that makes a Christian whole and complete. Let’s never grow tired of growing in our love for God.

The cross of Christ unites and reconciles us to God forever. Additionally, the cross breaks down the walls of hostility between people groups and offers true reconciliation. Simply put, Ephesians 2 promises that in Christ ‘we can be united.’ How do we navigate a promise like this in a day and age that can feel so divided? The key is in the death & resurrection of Jesus.
