Unexpected Response

For our final message in the series (and for 2021), Jeff looks at the ‘unexpected response’ Mary had to the birth of Jesus Christ. On more than one occasion, we read that Mary, ‘treasured’ or ‘pondered all of these things in her heart.’ What does it look like to practice the spiritual discipline of ‘pondering’ this Christmas and how might it help our spiritual maturity and journey with Jesus?

Unexpected Gifts

As we continue the series ‘The Unexpected King,’ Jeff looks at some very unexpected gifts. What can we learn from Matthew 2? What journey can we follow with the wisemen from the Far East? Listen in as we discover the beauty of revelation of Christ as our King, the worship that follows, and the generosity that springs forth.

Unexpected Guests

The entire birth narrative is full of unexpected miracles, angelic visitations, and as we see this week: unexpected guests. God’s choice of having the shepherds at Christ’s birth is an unexpected one—but we can learn much from their encounter & response to God’s goodness.

The Unexpected King

Jeff starts a new series this week pointing to the birth of Jesus. Christ’s birth was foretold centuries before through the voices of the Old Testament but the hope and faith of many had grown dim under the oppression of various rulers and what we now call ‘The Silent Years.’ Let’s explore the unexpected nature of Christ’s birth together and keep looking for God’s unexpected movements in our own lives today.

You Will Be Made Complete

What makes you whole and complete? How can you grow in spiritual maturity? As we continue our series “Promises,” Jeff dives into another biblical prayer from Ephesians 3 where Paul declares that it’s the personal experience of Christ’s love that makes a Christian whole and complete. Let’s never grow tired of growing in our love for God.

You Have Been United

The cross of Christ unites and reconciles us to God forever. Additionally, the cross breaks down the walls of hostility between people groups and offers true reconciliation. Simply put, Ephesians 2 promises that in Christ ‘we can be united.’ How do we navigate a promise like this in a day and age that can feel so divided? The key is in the death & resurrection of Jesus.

Plagiarized Prayers

As we continue our series “Promises,” Jeff unpacks Paul’s prayer for the church in Ephesus. In this passage, we’re promised to grow in three areas of our spiritual lives: the knowledge of God, our confident hope in Christ, and the understanding of God’s power for us who believe. Listen in as Jeff explores a practical way to grow in spiritual maturity as well.

Every Spiritual Blessing

Jeff kicks off our new series titled ‘Promises.’ In this opening message we’re studying Ephesians 1 and the promise given to us by God that we have received ‘Every Spiritual Blessing’ in and through Christ. What would life look like and how would our relationship with God change if we had faith to receive this promise through Christ?

Be Intentional

As we launch our ‘One Day to Feed the World’ campaign, Jeff reaches back to the Old Testament to explore how God has always called believers to ‘be intentional’ when it comes to caring for the poor. Listen in as we talk about how to ‘be intentional’ with Convoy of Hope and how our generosity is changing the world.
